Why, Hello There [ August 11th, 2009 ] Posted in » blogging

This blog has been hacked too many times so I decided to switch host. Still under construction so some links aren’t working yet. Oh wait, I don’t have a links/blogroll page!

If you were previously added to my blogroll, don’t worry I’m still fixing the database. I upgraded to WP2.8 and there are changes in the table structure of some tables. It’s a bit of a tedious task but this is what I enjoy doing the most.

Plus, not all of my posts are showing when I’m using this theme. Is it time to switch theme already? But I love Blue Weed and Blog Oh Blog. Oh well, we’ll see…

Last night was the ride of my life…

‘Di mo ‘ko nakita? Gusto mo barilin kita sa ulo? Ha?! Ha?!

I was sitting just behind the driver and my iPod is on high volume but I can still hear that big guy’s scream. Then I realized I was continuously moving to the right causing other passengers to panic.

I was in panic. Who wouldn’t after hearing a man threaten somebody to shoot him on the head?

Bumaba kayong lahat! Babaaaa!

I was the first person to get off that jeepney. I walked all the way to that Caltex gas station without even looking back. I was shaking and tears are flowing down my face. I prayed, “Lord, ‘wag naman. ‘Wag naman po ganito”, while other passengers were trying to calm the guy down. Gasoline boys were looking at me – confused. But they immediately understand. I couldn’t think straight, all I wanted was to get as far away from that place so I could go home.

After more seemingly endless threats from the motorcycle guy to the jeepney driver the gasoline boys called the nearest Police Station. But before the police arrives he (motorcycle guy) managed to calm down; borrowed a pen from the gasoline station’s office and wrote something down. Passengers were asked to board the jeepney again but me and 2 more didn’t bother. Getting inside that jeepney again would be traumatic for me so we chose not to go back.

This is one of the most important reasons why ordinary people should not carry a gun. Permits should only be given to people after undergoing thorough psychological tests and the like. Other people could get killed and more crimes would be committed.

I was just so happy when I got home safe and sound. The experience made me dislike people in motorcycles more. I know some are educated enough and knows the rules on the road but most don’t.

I was (and still) in ‘Alapaap’

Last night was the best concert (of a local band) I’ve been to. I have never seen anything like it; longest first set (more than an hour of non-stop music – more or less 15 songs), the number of people present, and some barbaric people standing near us.

But it was still the greatest.

Hours after the concert I still couldn’t believe what happened to Ely. I knew something was wrong when I heard him scream like that in the last few songs, it was just not right.

I really hope he gets better very soon. Many people still loves him despite what others say.

And of course it wouldn’t be complete without annoying people around, it’s part of life. Some people exist to piss others off.

Person 1: Sinong Marcus?
Person 2: Yung bassist.

(Plus Person 1 just kept screaming “Magsalita ka naman!” right after every song. And he doesn’t even know most of the songs!)

Person 3: Sino-sino ba sila? Sino yung nasa dulo?
Person 4: Si Buddy.
Person 3: Bobby?
Person 4: Buddy.
Person 3: Bobby???
Person 4: Buddy!!!

During the announcement that Ely was rushed to the hospital I was shaking but some people didn’t even show concern.

Girl behind us: Ano ba yan, namasahe pa ko papunta dito tapos eto lang?!

I don’t understand why these people went to the concert. It’s just sad.

I almost cried upon hearing the announcement, I’m glad Ely is doing okay now. I just hope he’ll be in great shape soon.

Fine Time

I hope we could spend more time together
A few hours is better than never
If we could only make it longer
A whole day would be fine
A whole day would be fine
A whole day would be fine
A whole day would be fine

I’m so tired of KC Concepcion

I have nothing against her though sometimes I find her annoying and over acting just like her mom. I understand that she has a movie coming out this week but it’s just annoying already. She’s everywhere! She even went to talk to the PDA scholars and shared her experiences. Of what you ask? Living surrounded by cameras. Yeah I know she’s famous but she hasn’t prove anything yet so stop telling everyone that she’s good in this and that. She has talent alright but she hasn’t achieved anything yet. Maybe after her movie is shown that’s the right time to talk about her.

Goodbye Freehostia

Finally, I’ve changed hosts. And from now on you won’t be seeing that “Database Error” which I know you’ve seen almost everyday. Thanks to Miss Choi and Jon Cabron (Jon recommended it to Miss Choi and she recommended it to me) for the host recommendation.

I still have a lot of things to fix so if you notice something different (pictures not showing up, links not working, etc) please be patient as I am still pulling my hair and figuring out how to fix all of these. A crappy internet connection (*ahem*SmartBro*ahem*) combined with being hungry will make you scream and curse at the same time.

My Entrecard widget is missing and I can’t get it to work so if I’ve already approved your EC ad and you want to cancel let me know by leaving a comment here.

Wish me luck in fixing all other pages, widgets, plugins and posts.

Sa wakas!

Just like everybody else I also got the news. I never thought this would happen but it will. Mahal pa rin tayo ni Lord!

I seriously don’t know what to say, I just want to know where I can get tickets para matapos na tong pag-iisip ko. Parang hinahalukay ang tiyan ko sa tuwa. Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala.

Hindi pwedeng buhay ko lang ang masira, dapat kayo rin

Some people may find parts of this post offensive. So if you’re sensitive and your mind is PG13, I suggest you stop reading.

I sing, I dance, I steal things

If you personally know me, you’ll know what this post is about just by reading the title. But in case you don’t read along.

I’m on a high. I patiently waited for more than a month for this and when I finally got it all I want to do is to get something sharp and rip the box open. But I didn’t, I actually can’t believe that I was able to contain myself. I even traveled for more than 2 hours and was very calm when I opened it. I guess I’m starting to grow up. Hehehe.

I’ve been listening to the new album nonstop since the first day of release and I still do. I just can’t get enough of it. But I have to admit, I love the EPs more than the studio album. Mraz is at his best with an acoustic guitar and Toca’s backup vocals. Pero matitiis ko ba namang hindi magustuhan ang album? Syempre hinde. I loooove the album but not more than the EPs. Basta.

We are the champions and some politics crap

So, Manny Pacquiao wins again. The man is unstoppable, sana lang wag na lumaki ang ulo.

I can’t help but notice the scrolling message while I was watching the match. Honestly, I was more interested at the message more than the boxing match happening. Why, you asked?

LIVE TELECAST THRU THE EFFORTS OF CONGERSMAN [BLANK] AND MAYOR [BLANK].

That channel (S2) has been showing every live boxing match for a couple of years already. Why are these politicians suddenly claiming credit for the telecast??? Kahit ano talaga papatulan nila para lang mapabango ang pangalan.
